Anastasia State Park volunteers Don Leonard, left, and Debbie McNeil watch an 887-acre controlled burn on Conch Island from the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse Wednesday afternoon. The brushfire, which is part of a habitat restoration project at the park, was scheduled twice before, but unfavorable conditions hampered the effort.
