WEST PALM BEACH — A South Florida hospital is examining its oldest patient.
The radiology team at St. Mary’s Medical Center is running tests on a 2,100-year-old mummy to figure out how she died.
The mummified girl, thought to have been between 4 and 9 years old when she died, received a CT scan Friday. The team will announce the results next week.
The Palm Beach Post reports the mummy will be on display at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium as part of “Afterlife: Tombs and Treasures of Ancient Egypt” exhibit.
