With some advance work with a hose, a 'bicicle,' a bench and a chair took to the hard freeze Wednesday night on Anastasia Island, where the temperatures seldom drop to freezing near the ocean. The low temperature at the St. Johns County Airport was 27 degrees. The 'bicicle' belongs to Logan Petty, who lives on the island. Areas of frost were expected after midnight Thursday, as lows were expected to range from 28 to 33 along the coast. Highs today are expected to be in the upper 50s.
